Genealogy, Mayflower ancestry, and early Massachusetts history. Vital Records of Plymouth, Massachusetts to the Year 1850 compiles centuries of Plymouth records for births, marriages, marriage intentions, deaths, and burials, drawn from town clerk and Plymouth Colony sources. The volume includes explanatory material, facsimiles, detailed map endpapers adapted from an 1830 map of Plymouth, and an extensive index of persons—an important research reference for genealogists, family historians, Mayflower descendants, and institutions specializing in colonial New England.

Compiled by Lee D. van Antwerp and edited by Ruth Wilder Sherman. Published by Picton Press in 1993 for the Society of Mayflower Descendants. First printing, December 1993. Hardcover, ISBN 0897251105, with x preliminary pages and 774 numbered pages.

The book remains solid and internally clean with clear, readily legible text. The blue cloth binding retains bright gilt lettering and decoration. Exterior wear includes scattered marks and discoloration to the covers and page edges, light corner and spine-end wear, and a small worn spot near the upper edge of the rear board, as shown. No writing or highlighting was observed. Please examine all photographs for the exact condition of the book being offered.
