Original March 1944 issue of The Globe Beam, Volume III, No. 3, published by Globe Aircraft Corporation for its employees in Fort Worth, Texas.
The green “Wings of West Point—Briefing a Training Flight” cover depicts flight training at Stewart Field, New York, where Globe-built AT-10 advanced trainers were used by cadets of the United States Military Academy.
The illustrated feature “Action on the Training Front!” explores Stewart Field’s training program, with photographs of cadets, aircraft, instructors, and commanding officers.
Additional contents include “Aleutians Veteran Carries On,” profiling Navy veteran and Globe employee Jack Kelley; “They Also Give Their Blood”; Globe Aircraft Hall of Honor; employee news; and “Wanted: Ideas!” covering the company’s employee suggestion program.
Very good vintage condition overall. Covers retain attractive color, with light handling creases, edge and spine wear, a small nick at the upper front edge, and scattered light spotting and age toning. Minor discoloration is visible near the staples. Interior pages shown are generally clean and well preserved, with clear photographs and text. Please review all photographs for condition details.
