US Army 83rd Company Coast Artillery Collar Insignia Pair 1902-1905 Pattern

$125.00
Matching pair of U.S. Army 83rd Company Coast Artillery collar insignia in the early 1902–1905 pattern, featuring raised crossed cannons with separately attached “83” numerals below.

These detailed insignia represent the numbered-company era of American coastal defense. Their sculpted cannon barrels and dark bronze-toned finish make an appealing addition to an early U.S. Army uniform display or military insignia collection.

Each measures approximately just under 2 inches wide by just under 1.5 inches tall.

Both pieces feature hollow-backed construction and retain their horizontal fastening pins and catches. No maker’s marks are visible in the photographs. Identification and approximate dating are based on the design and construction; no individual soldier provenance accompanies the pair.

Condition: Good overall, with dark surface patina, scattered rubbing and small surface marks. Cannon details and numerals remain clearly defined. Both pinback assemblies are present; fastening action has not been tested. Please review the front and reverse photographs.

Includes both insignia pictured. Carefully packed with free U.S. shipping.
