Classical rhetoric and Roman education: four volumes of Quintilien’s Institution oratoire in the Les Belles Lettres Collection Budé, with the Latin text established and translated into French by Jean Cousin. The set covers Books I–VII and gives readers a sustained study of how Quintilian taught speaking, argument, and the education of an orator. It appeals to students and collectors of Roman literature, rhetoric, and bilingual classical texts. Tome I (1975, Book I) is paperback; Tomes II–IV (Books II–VII) are orange hardcovers. Tome I is Fair, with a faded, worn cover and pronounced waviness and darkening along the page edges. The three hardcovers present better, with light exterior wear and age toning to the page edges. Please examine the photos for each volume’s condition. Four volumes only; the series continues beyond Book VII.
