Bombs Away 321st Bomb Squadron 90th Bomb Group WWII B-24 Unit History 1944

$600.00
Scarce original World War II unit history of the 321st Bombardment Squadron, part of the celebrated 90th Bomb Group “Jolly Rogers,” operating B-24 Liberators in the Southwest Pacific.

Published in Sydney, Australia by John Sands Pty. Ltd. during 1944, this oblong hardcover documents the squadron’s wartime service through photographs, artwork, personnel groups, officers, enlisted men, aircraft, daily operations and locations including Hawaii. Major Stanley P. Robeck—commander and pilot of the B-24 Booby Trap—is prominently featured.

Also included is the separate original Squadron Roster: Southwest Pacific 1942–44, listing members by name, rank, state and address. The survival of this roster with the book makes this example especially valuable for military historians, aviation collectors and families researching individual servicemen.

Approximately 48 illustrated pages. Original green hardcover with gilt and silver cover decoration.

Condition is good for an original wartime publication. The binding remains secure. Exterior shows light shelf wear, including a visible rubbed/scuffed area on the front cover. Interior has age toning and scattered foxing, heavier on the roster and several preliminary pages. The separate roster shows additional age wear and foxing. Please review all photographs carefully for the exact condition.

A genuinely scarce, unit-specific history produced while the war was still underway—not a later reprint or generalized account of the 90th Bomb Group.
