Genealogy / Connecticut History. Henry R. Stiles’s extensive two-volume history and genealogical record of Ancient Windsor, Connecticut, including East Windsor, South Windsor, Bloomfield, Windsor Locks, and Ellington from 1635 through 1891.
Volume I covers the settlement and development of the region, its institutions, churches, commerce, military history, notable residents, and local events. Volume II contains detailed family genealogies and biographies, making the set particularly valuable for family-history research. Illustrated throughout with portraits, historical images, maps, and other documentary material.
This is a complete two-volume reading set assembled from two authorized facsimile editions:
Volume I is the 1976 New Hampshire Publishing Company facsimile of the 1892 edition.
Volume II is the July 1992 first Picton Press printing of the revised facsimile edition, printed on acid-free paper.
Good pre-owned condition. Volume I has light exterior rubbing and minor shelf wear. Volume II shows more noticeable cover rubbing, discoloration, small marks, bumped corners, and edge wear. Both bindings remain sound, and the interiors are clean and readable. The volumes come from different authorized reprint editions and therefore have slightly different bindings, as clearly shown. Please review all photographs for the exact condition.
