Vintage fly-fishing and trout-angling guide for fishermen, outdoor enthusiasts, sporting-book collectors, and admirers of influential angling writer Joe Brooks. Published by Harper & Row as an Outdoor Life Book in 1972, this first edition presents Brooks’s lifetime of trout-fishing knowledge across 302 heavily illustrated pages. Coverage includes trout species and habitats, selecting tackle, fly casting, dry flies, wet flies, nymphs, streamers, bucktails, matching insect hatches, fishing lakes and streams, handling currents, landing large trout, and safe wading techniques. Illustrated with color photography, fishing diagrams, and drawings by Tom Beecham. Hardcover retains its original $8.95 pictorial dust jacket. Interior pages are clean with no writing or highlighting seen, the binding remains intact, and the pages show normal age toning. Blue cloth boards have light staining and shelf wear. Dust jacket has substantial rubbing, scuffing, creasing, edge tears, small chips, and areas of discoloration. Please review all photographs for exact condition.
