A collectible pre-World War II edition of The Bugle, the official 1940 yearbook of Virginia Polytechnic Institute (now Virginia Tech). Filled with hundreds of photographs of campus life, the Corps of Cadets, athletics, student organizations, faculty, and the graduating class, this volume offers a fascinating snapshot of the university just before America’s entry into World War II. An excellent addition for Virginia Tech alumni, military history enthusiasts, and collectors of vintage college memorabilia.
This hardcover copy is in good overall vintage condition with a solid binding and clean, readable pages. There is scattered foxing on a few pages, an owner’s name and original portrait are present, and the page edges have dark ink marks as shown in the photos. The embossed boards remain attractive with light wear consistent with age. A scarce piece of Virginia Tech history that displays well and belongs in any serious college or Virginia history collection.
