American economic history and international trade. Published by the Government Printing Office in 1893, this substantial Treasury Department report presents detailed statistical tables documenting United States commerce with European countries from 1790 through 1890. Its 460 pages compile historical imports, exports, merchandise, gold and silver coin and bullion, and trade with individual nations including Great Britain, France, Germany, Russia, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Austria-Hungary, and others. An uncommon original government reference offering a century-long record of American trade and economic development.

Original black cloth hardcover with approximately 460 numbered pages. Former Albion College library copy with an interior library label and evidence of removed library materials. Exterior shows age-related wear, rubbing, fading, bumped corners, and an old numerical label on the spine. The rear cover has noticeable staining and spotting, as clearly photographed, but no severe structural damage from it was observed. The front interior hinge is cracked and partially separated with binding material exposed; the cover remains attached. Pages are age-toned with occasional minor spotting but remain generally decent, readable, and suitable for research. Please review all photographs carefully for the exact condition of this 130-year-old volume.
